This Privacy Policy applies to the Defakes.com services (the "Platform"), which include our websites, Telegram Mini Apps, mobile software, and forensic analysis tools. The Platform is provided and controlled by [Your Company Name/Entity] ("we," "us," or "our").
We are committed to protecting your privacy. This policy explains how we collect, use, share, and process personal information.
By using the Platform, you agree to the collection and use of information in accordance with this policy.
1. Information We Collect
We collect information from and about you, including information you provide, information from other sources, and automatically collected information.
A. Information You Provide
- Account Information: When you link your Telegram account or sign up, we collect your Telegram User ID, username, profile image, and authentication tokens.
- User Content: We collect the media (videos, images, audio) you upload for analysis, as well as your comments, annotations ("tags"), votes, and participation in debate lobbies.
- Purchase Information: If you buy Points or Evidence Reports, our third-party payment processors collect your payment instrument details. We do not store full credit card numbers, but we may store transaction history and billing addresses.
- Verification Data: If you request access to restricted features (e.g., restricted pools, legal services), we may ask for proof of age or identity to comply with applicable laws.
B. Automatically Collected Information
- Device & Usage Data: We collect information about the device you use to access the Platform, including IP address, user agent, mobile carrier, time zone, device model, screen resolution, and unique device identifiers.
- Image and Audio Information (Forensic Data): When you upload content, our systems analyze the biometric features and technical artifacts within the media. This includes identifying facial topography, lighting consistency, audio waveforms, and pixel-level anomalies. We collect this data solely for authenticity verification and service functionality.
- Metadata: We collect metadata associated with your User Content, such as file creation dates, encoding formats, and GPS location (if embedded in the file).
C. Information from Other Sources
- Third-Party Platforms: If you share content via social media integrations, we may collect publicly available information associated with that content link.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use your information to operate, provide, and enhance the Platform, including:
- Forensic Analysis & Service Delivery: To process your media submissions and generate authenticity assessments.
- Service Improvement & Calibration: We analyze user interactions, consensus outcomes, and feedback loops to enhance the accuracy, reliability, and performance of our internal systems and algorithms.
- Gamification & Economy: To manage your account status, rankings, and virtual asset balances.
- Safety & Integrity: To detect security anomalies, prevent manipulation (e.g., coordinated voting attacks), and enforce our Community Guidelines.
- Communications: To send you service notifications and updates.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share data only on a strictly "need-to-know" basis with the following categories of third parties:
Infrastructure & Service Providers:
We share data with trusted third-party vendors who provide essential technical infrastructure to help us operate. These include:
- Cloud Hosting & Storage Providers (to securely store data).
- AI & Computing Partners (to perform complex calculations and processing).
- Payment Processors (to handle billing transactions securely).
Note: All providers are bound by strict confidentiality and data protection obligations.
- Public Visibility: If you choose to post content to the Public Feed, your username, vote, and comments will be visible to other users.
- Blockchain Ledgers (Immutable Records): If you request a verified certificate, a Cryptographic Hash (a mathematical fingerprint) may be recorded on a public ledger. This hash reveals no personal information or raw data but is permanent.
- Legal Compliance: We may disclose information if compelled by a valid court order, subpoena, or to protect the safety of our users.
4. Blockchain and Data Deletion
Important Notice Regarding Immutability:
Our integrity system separates "Source Media" (the file) from the "Integrity Record" (the hash).
- Deletable: We can delete your account info, video files, and chat logs from our centralized servers upon request.
- Non-Deletable: We cannot delete cryptographic hashes anchored on a blockchain. These are permanent. However, once the Source Media is deleted, the hash becomes a mathematical string that reveals no personal information.
5. Data Security
We use industry-standard encryption and security measures to protect your data. However, no transmission over the internet is 100% secure. You are responsible for keeping your Telegram and Wallet credentials safe.
6. Children's Privacy
The Platform is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we become aware that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will delete it immediately.
Age Gating: Certain features are restricted to users 18+ or the age of majority in their jurisdiction.
7. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access: Request a copy of the data we hold about you.
- Delete: Request deletion of your personal data (subject to blockchain limitations described in Section 4).
- Correct: Fix inaccurate information.
- Opt-Out: Stop receiving marketing emails.
To exercise these rights, submit a request via our Help Page or email us at kim@defakes.com.
8. International Data Transfers
We operate globally. Your information may be transferred to, stored, and processed in the United States or other countries where our servers are located. By using the Platform, you consent to this transfer.
9. Changes to this Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new policy on this page and updating the "Last Updated" date.
